I am a professor in the Information Technology (read: Computer Science) Department at Tec de Monterrey's Guadalajara Campus.
I am in my 17th semester as a professor at this campus and 13th as a full-time professor. <not so>Soon I will get around to putting a link here to previous courses taught.
I led the push for Object-Oriented programming in the CS I and II curriculum here at the campus since 1996 and we finally won in May 2000 with the redesigned curriculum for the degrees in computing here at Tec de Monterrey. Specifically we are teaching Java, although I would prefer to teach in Smalltalk (or perhaps Ruby).
OOPSLA is the annual conference on Object-Oriented Programming, Systems, Languages and Applications and I have been a member of the conference committee since 1996 (this year I am maintaining the server and am the Demos Chair).
